"Before I became a (sports)physiotherapist and an osteopath, I worked as a professional ballet dancer for 15 years and enjoyed a successful career with the national ballet companies of the Netherlands (Het National Ballet) and Lithuania (Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre).

Being a dancer, you are exposed to a wide range of risk factors for injuries. I was not an exception. During my carrier I sustained various injuries and underwent numerous rehabilitation processes. Therefore, after I stopped dancing, I found my "second" passion in helping people with similar complaints and in similar situations.

In 2012 I attained an international Bachelor diploma in physiotherapy at the  Hogeschool van Amsterdam and in the same year I started CiaoFysio physiotherapy practice. While working, I continued studying and in 2015 I received my Master of Science in Sports physiotherapy diploma at the SOMT University in Amersfoort.

In 2019 I graduated at the College Sutherland in Amsterdam and received my Diploma in Osteopathy (D.O.).

In 2014, I had the opportunity to present at the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) conference in Basel, the research project that was commissioned by the Dutch National Ballet. In 2015, I was pleased to work again with the Dutch National Ballet company during the implementation of an extensive project - the "First Aid for Dance Injuries at the HNB", as an assignment for the MS.c. study. And in 2019, a close collaboration with the professional ballet- and modern dancers from various dance companies in the Netherlands, allowed me to conduct yet another research project related to my osteopathic studies".
